Double Knit

Knitted Picture

Materials; Family DK, vanguard DK, baby softspun DK, enterprise DK.
Pair needles each size 3.75mm (UK9-USA5) and 4mm (UK8-USA6).
Picture frame to fit a picture approx 30.5 x 40.5 cm (12 x 16 inch).
Backing material for knitted background (ie card or card with an adhesive surface on one side) 30.5 x 40.5 cm (12 x 16 inch). Double sided tape. The card and tape may not be required if the picture is to be framed professionally as the picture framer may put the backing on.
Small balls of yarn for flowers, leaves and stems.
Colours used in the picture; Cream, white, purple, lilac, 2 shades of blue, 3 shades of green and yellow and 4 shades of pink.
Beads and sewing thread (optional).
